DESCRIPTION
The local chapter of a national non-profit organization which provides opportunities for bringing people and nature together. In addition to monthly meetings, the organization sponsors regular field trips to observe nature.
PROGRAMS
Monthly programs - varied "natural history/environmental issues" topics. 3rd Monday of each month, except for summer.

Birdathon - chapter fundraiser which involves getting sponsors to pledge money/bird species observed during a 24 hour period in May of each year. Funds our programs and field trips and NAS
SCHOLARSHIPS
One annual scholarship to the National Audubon Society's Summer Field Ecology Workshop in Greenwich CT (open to science/nature teachers/educators within Central New Jersey. Deadline usualy March or early April
