DESCRIPTION
A non-profit volunteer organization formed to promote and encourage a comprehensive approach to planning, conservation, preservation of open space, protection of natural resources, and protection of places of historical interest for the Sourland Mountain and its environs.

PROGRAMS
Guided historic walks and bus tours are given through historic places of interest in Mercer, Hunterdon and Somerset Counties.

Social and Community Events

Coordination of planning efforts among the State, three counties and seven municipalities

MEETING TIME
7:30 PM - 9:30 PM first TUESDAY of even months, 1st THU of odd-numbered months; Open OCT membership meeting to elect new officers, and to develop agenda items to accomplish for the current year. Check website to verify meeting schedule for 2006-2007

MEMBERSHIP
Members are required to keep membership dues current

FEES/DUES
Individual - $15; Families - $25; Seniors (62+) $10; Patron - $50+; all fees & dues are renewable yearly

SPECIAL EVENTS
Guided Nature Hikes and historical tours to make the public more aware of environmental issues.
Act as advocates for environmental protection and assist public with environmental issues
