DESCRIPTION
A non-profit tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization which oversees community outreach programs including the Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton, the Trenton After School Program (TASP), (www.trentonafterschoolprogram.org); the Trenton Children's Chorus (TCC), (www.trentonchildrenschorus.org); and Housing Initiatives of Princeton LLC (HIP), (www.trinityprinceton.org/outreach.asp). POPI is sponsored by Nassau Presbyterian Church and Trinity Episcopal Church of Princeton.
SERVICES
After school child care (TASP) - Tutoring/enrichment activities - K-5th grade (West Ward of Trenton)
Summer camp assistance (TASP) - Camp experience/variety of established camps - TASP children
Emergency services (The Crisis Ministry of Princeton & Trenton) - Food, transportation, financial assistance/utilities/rent/ prescriptions - People of all ages, low income/working poor, TANF families, elderly/disabled on social security, homebound, recovering drug/alcohol persons, single people on welfare

PROGRAMS
Crisis Ministry of Princeton and Trenton: Non-profit organization and program whose purpose is to give short-term assistance for emergency needs while long range solutions are sought. It provides services to people who are hungry, who are facing eviction or utility shut-offs, or who have medical needs they cannot meet. Contact Rev. Sally T. Osmer, Director, Hours: MON-FRI: 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM - Princeton office at 609-921-2135; MON-FRI: 9:00 AM - 12:00 noon - Trenton office at 609-396-9355. Trenton After School Program (TASP): Provides after school tutoring and enrichment activities, mentoring and summer camp assistance to children in the West Ward of Trenton. TASP is a licensed Child Care Agency with the Division of Youth and Family Services of New Jersey.
