DESCRIPTION
A nonprofit charitable organization dedicated to the performance, promotion and preservation of jazz. The group presents several live concerts throughout the year and has a strong school outreach program. Concerts are presented throughout the state of New Jersey. It is a founding member of the American Federation of Jazz Societies and is a qualified organization of the New Jersey Cultural Trust. Funding has been made possible in part by funds from the ARts Council of the Morris Area through the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
PROGRAMS
Generations of Jazz: a school outreach program which is a live musical presentation for grades K-12.
PUBLICATIONS
Jersey Jazz (magazine) - published 11 times per year; lists area jazz events, detailed information about local concerts and performers, reviews of recordings, etc.
