DESCRIPTION
A non-profit organization consisting of a small but active group dedicated to the monitoring and preservation of the Wildlife Refuge, which is an important haven for unique plants, animals, fish, reptiles and numerous species of resident and migratory birds. Recent donations from local organizations and individuals have enabled the Township to purchase a new pump, which is critical to the Refuge, bringing water from the Stony Brook into the marsh. A new observation tower is about to be erected. the Refuge, which is 36+ acres of woods, fields and marshland, can be entered from the contiguous Institute Woods or from West Drive at the Eastern end of Alexander Street.
