DESCRIPTION
The official school of the American Repertory Ballet, the Princeton Ballet School enrolls approximately 1200 students age three through adult. The school trains talented students to pursue a professional career and also provides instruction to students who study only to benefit from the inherent rewards of dance. The curriculum includes modern dance, jazz and Spanish dance in addition to ballet technique and pointe work. The school is under the umbrella of The Princeton Ballet Society, which encompasses the school, the American Repertory Ballet (formerly Princeton Ballet Company); and the preprofessional company, American Repertory Ballet Workshop (formerly Princeton Ballet II). Additional courses are offered in tap, hip-hop, theater dance, world dance forms, and Pilates exercise

Education - Dance - Individuals ages 4 through adult
Education - Special Needs Dance Class - Physically challenged adults/including those in wheel chairs

PROGRAMS
Hand-in-Hand: Classes for 3-year-olds dancing with a participating adult.

Children's Division: A program for children ages 4 and up which offers classes in Beginning Dance, Beginning Ballet, Beginning Ballet 2, Intermediate 1, Intermediate 2, Intermediate 3, Dances of the World, and boys' classes.

Student Division: A program for students 4th grade and above which offers classes at Student 1, 2, 3, and 4 levels.

Advanced Division: A program which offers classes at the Ballet 5, and 6 levels.

Open Enrollment Classes: A program which offers classes in ballet, jazz, Pilates, modern dance and Spanish dance to students ages 13 through adult.

PLUS Program: A program which offers the student dancer in the Children's Division, the Student Division or the Advanced Division additional, more challenging, dancing each week.

Professional Training Program: A program open to dancers ages 13 and up by audition only, which provides individualized training for a career in dance.

Cooperative Program with Rider University: A program which offers studio courses taken at Princeton Ballet School for college credit.

SPECIAL EVENTS
The Nutcracker - Yearly performance with the American Repertory Ballet at McCarter Theater and other locations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania
School show - Fully produced, full length ballet. Any student in the school (5 years and older) may participate.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Merit scholarships are available but limited to advanced dancers by teacher recommendation
Work study programs are sometimes available; call to inquire
