DESCRIPTION
The local chapter of the national environmental organization of the same name which is dedicated to the protection of the environment through community, grassroots, legislative, educational and recreational activities, including an extensive program of volunteer-led outings. 10 regional groups meet monthly throughout the state.

PROGRAMS
Monthly meetings feature guest speakers, usually noted environmentalists, speaking on issues of current interest.
