DESCRIPTION
A private, non-profit community organization providing a wide variety of emergency and public health services.
SERVICES
Disaster relief - Assist individuals affected by disasters, such as fires or floods, by providing financial assistance, shelter, food, clothing and referrals.
Emergency Services - assist members of the military, their families and veterans by sending and receiving emergency messages.
Food - Home delivered meals - Elderly, disabled, needy
Blood donor
Transportation - Medical facilities, shopping centers - Princeton elderly, disabled, those without transportaion needing medical care
Education - Courses - CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid - Automated External Defibrillation, water safety, lifeguard, kayak/canoe safety, child care, baby-sitting, BAT (Basic Aid Training), HIV/AIDS instructor training, back injury and disease transmission prevention - General public
Education - HIV/AIDS prevention - Businesses, schools and general public
Youth - Local high school Red Cross clubs help in all areas of service delivery
PROGRAMS
Meals Program: Provides home delivery of hot, nutritious meals to residents unable to provide for themselves. Princeton area - 609-951-2120, Alicia Vincelette; Trenton area - 609-95102124, Kathleen Foley.
Health and Safety Training: Training available in CPR/First Aid, water safety and the use of automated external defibrillators.
Health Track: A workplace wellness program, created in conjunction with the University Medical Center at Princeton, that provides employers with comprehensive, cost-effective safety and wellness service designed both to prevent medical, personal and work-related problems, and to respond to health problems and emergencies when they occur. Disaster Relief: Resources, such as food, clothing and shelter, available to help victims of disasters.
Armed Forces: Emergency communications provided between families and members of the military.
Blood Service: Blood and blood products available through local hospitals. Blood drives are held throughout the community needing volunteer donors.
