ESL Classes

In cooperation with St. Paul's Church, the library offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes on Sunday afternoons from 4 to 6 P.M.

Literacy and ESL

Student Information

If you need one on one help with English you may sign up for a tutor by calling Literacy Volunteers of America. Their number is 609-587-6027.

There are many people waiting for a tutor.  It may take a while for them to assign a tutor to you.  Please be patient.

 

Tutor Information

Literacy/ESL tutors at Princeton Public Library are trained by Literacy Volunteers of Mercer County a branch of ProLiteracy USA.  Training classes are held three times a year and consist of 6 sessions.   If you are interested in becoming a tutor please call 609-587-6027.  Once tutors are trained, they are matched with a student by the Mercer County LVA office.  The student and the tutor agree on a time and place to meet.   New Tutors who choose to meet at Princeton Public Library should make themselves known by calling 609-924-9529  ext 220 in order to learn of library procedures for requesting a room.
