Loan Periods:

• Most books and audiobooks : 3 weeks
  
• New books for adults : 2 weeks
• Express Book Collection: 1 week
• Music CDs : 2 weeks
  
• Non-Fiction videos and DVDs, children's videos, CD-ROM software : 1 week  ($1 fee at checkout)
  
• Feature videos and DVDs : 1 day ($1 fee at checkout)

Late Fees:

• Most materials: 20 cents per day
• Express Book Collection: $1 per day
  
• Videos, DVDs, CD-ROM software: $1 per day

Renewals:

Library materials may be renewed for a second loan period, with the following exceptions:

• Music CDs, CD-ROM software, feature videos, DVDs, and Express Book Collection
  
• Materials already requested by another customer
  
  

Several ways to renew:

• Call 609-924-9529, ext 210
  
• Visit the Checkout Desk at the library
  
• Send an e-mail with your name, card number and the titles you wish to renew to: circadm@princetonlibrary.org
• Go to My Account, type in your last name and library card number, select titles you would like to renew by clicking in the boxes in the "Renew" column
  

Reserves:

• Search the catalog and find the title of the item you wish to request
  
• Click the button marked RESERVE IT
  
• Enter your last name and card number
  
• Click the button marked SUBMIT
  
  

Express Checkout:

The library materials features Express Checkout kiosks where customers can check out their own materials using an advanced touch-screen system that utilizes the latest technology.

Simply place your books on the counter pad and follow the directions on the screen.

Please note that you must have a wallet-sized library card to use Express Checkout.

As of March, 2005, only books and audiobooks may be checked out using this system.
