Got sushi?
My family LOVES sushi. My daughter would eat it every day, if she could. We have a few favorite sushi restaurants in and out of Princeton, including Ajihei on Chambers St., Mo C Mo C Sushi on Tulane St., Soonja's on Alexander St., Asian Bistro in Princeton Junction by the train station and OC Wasabi in Ocean City, Maryland. We also have a favorite sushi movie, "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" which had our mouths watering for the entire film.
Princeton Public Library's catalog captures the essence of the movie, "The 2011 film documents the 85-year-old Jiro Ono, who is considered by many to be the world's greatest sushi chef. He is the proprietor of a 10-seat sushi-only restaurant inauspiciously located in a Tokyo subway station. Despite its humble appearances, it is the first restaurant of its kind to be awarded a prestigious three-star Michelin review, and sushi lovers from around the globe make repeated pilgrimages, calling months in advance and shelling out top dollar for a coveted seat at Jiro's sushi bar."
We’re not the only ones intrigued. The film’s Facebook page has reached almost 40,000 likes! If you’d like to read more about the restaurant, I recommend GeekMom’s article on "Wired". Then stop at the library to check out "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" and your mouth will be watering. If you're intrigued and want to check out books about sushi, check out our catalog listing. There are even some children's books. After immersing yourself in great restaurants, books and the DVD, perhaps, your next stop will be booking reservations for a flight to Tokyo and reservations at Sukiyabashi Jiro.

Thanks so much for the great overview...definitely added to my items to pick up the next time I'm in the library.
I particularly love how you pulled restaraunts from town, articles from other sites and facebook pages all into one blog! Nice one JHauge!
Thank you! I appreciate your input! Making connections with the library, town and when I can, even the world is one of my goals!
I am surprised you did not mention SAKURA EXPRESS right next to the Library, across the court. It has been a Princeton favorite for years and the brother sushi chefs some of the best arouind. Try their spicy tuna and New York rolls. Take out and enjoy the night air at a table in the court.
Ah, yes, I've heard terrific things about Sakura Express! It's on my radar and I'll get there soon- thanks for mentioning them.
